Description - top
This documentation file is a very short overall description of each area of the plugin. It is just to give you general idea. Most of the documentation is inline. Each option has its italic text that best describes what it does. Our suggestion is to go over this document quickly and then go play with the plugin in your admin area. :-)
Installation and Activation - top
Unzip the .zip file that you downloaded from CodeCanyon. Look for a file called otw-buttons-mega-pack.zip. This is your plugin's zip file.
Install the plugin just like any other Wordpress plugin. There are two ways to do that:
- Using WordPress built-in installer From the Administration Panels, click on the Plugins tab. Go to Add New->Upload. Choose the plugin's .zip file from your computer and click Install Now. Then click activate to activate the plugin.
- Traditional manual installation Extract zip archive of your plugin. Upload to your server in the wp-content/plugins folder of your WordPress installation. Access the Plugin Panel in your Administration Panels. Scroll down through the list of Plugins to find the newly installed Plugin. Click on the Activate link to turn the Plugin on.
Create new button - top
Go to plugin menu -> Add Button. Choose Button Name and Button Type. Then have fun setting up your button. You can basically set up anything. Once you are done hit save.
On the right side of the screen you have Live preview of all changes you make on the button you are creating now.
Insert/Display button - top
Once you have created buttons you may want to display those on your site. Here are a few ways to do that:
- Insert in a Page: Once you are in a page/post edit screen go to inset shortcode icon in the editor. Then select the button you want to insert.
- Insert in a Sidebar: Go to Appearance -> Widgets section. Drop the OTW Shortcode Widget in the sidebar you want. Then select the button you want and save.
- Insert using a shortcode: Copy the shortcode for the list of buttons (see bellow) then paste the shortcode wherever you want to display it.
- Insert in a template file: Copy the shortcode for the list of buttons (see bellow) then use the do_shortcode function to insert it in any template file.
List of created buttons - top
Go to plugin menu -> List. Here you can find all buttons that you have already created. From here you can edit, delete, duplicate, copy shortcodes.
Plugin Settings - top
The plugin settings can be found in the plugin menu -> Settings. Here you can add custom CSS if you need to.
